Life Fitness Strength IQ
The Life Fitness principle of strength progression for product begins and ends with the member's exercise experience in mind. Attracting and retaining members is the major objective for the development of Strength IQ.
Strength IQ provides you with the ability to consistently provide stimulating strength experiences for members regardless of fitness level or capability. Strength IQ helps you make a more informed decision when it comes to purchasing and laying out the right mix of strength equipment.
Life Fitness Ready Steady Go concept
Ready Steady Go is a gym-based retention initiative which recognises that the design and layout of a facility can have a significant influence on the member experience and promote exercise adherence.
One of Life Fitness™ key credentials is its ability to provide a comprehensive range of cardiovascular and resistance products to meet the widely differing needs and requirements of exercisers, from complete beginners through to elite athletes. This integrated
exercise solution forms the basis of the Ready Steady Go concept.
Ready Steady Go recognises that an exerciser's needs change as their fitness levels improve. It also involves a comprehensive training and marketing toolbox for clubs wishing to implement an effective customer retention programme. Ready Steady Go identifies the member's "start point" and allows the instructor to set achievable targets.
The zones
- The Ready zone is designed to make the exercise experience easy and emotionally enjoyable. This zone contains a modest selection of cardiovascular machines and traditional selectorised strength equipment arranged in an intuitive format to help members achieve 100% of their daily dose of exercise.
- The Steady zone is designed for fit and active gym users and includes a broader range of cardiovascular equipment and exercise programmes. The resistance circuit utilises selectorised iso-lateral machines, which provide an independent exercise action, including Life Fitness™ Hammer Strength MTS (Motion Technology Selectorised).
- The Go zone is designed for the fit person who wants more than a regular exercise programme. It includes a resistance circuit of the Cable Motion Series, which has the simplicity of selectorised systems, yet unlike traditional machines does not have fixed paths of motion. This allows users to define their own paths of motion, giving greater exercise variety and the ability to perform more advanced training options. Free weights, dumbbells, medicine balls and stability balls will also be used to accommodate the member's increased level of skill and experience. These principles are not just for new sites being developed: existing clubs can also audit their facility and structure their exercise environment in a similar way. The Life Fitness Academy has identified five different standard health club sizes ranging from a simple squash court conversion through to extensive 9,000 square foot fitness facilities.
