Description: The Medical Wellness Center (MWC) is a 60,000 square foot health facility that includes a 15,000 square foot fitness center with over 100 pieces of state-of-the-art Life Fitness cardio and strength equipment, three group fitness instructional classrooms and a dedicated group cycling studio. Certified Wellness Coaches on staff are tasked with helping individuals achieve their health and fitness goals, which includes conducting Health Risk Assessments for each member at a specially designed lab within the MWC. Coaches are also available on the fitness floor during all operating hours to assist members with exercise programming, and the MWC Group Fitness Exercise Program offers over 70 classes per week, including yoga, Pilates, kickboxing and cardio. The MWC membership is primarily employees of the University of Miami and Jackson Memorial Hospital, graduate and medical students from the University and residents from the surrounding community.
